We support our Republican candidates:

John Skiptunas is currently the Lima Deputy Mayor. During his time as Village Trustee and Deputy Mayor, John has demonstrated an aptitude for leadership and governing. He is willing to listen to people and work toward bettering the entire community.

John is also Past President of the Lima Rotary. Through Rotary, he had shown his love and commitment to Lima and the people who live here.

John understands the issues and concerns of the Village of Lima and will make a fine Mayor.

I am proud to endorse him and encourage all voters of the Village of Lima to elect John Skiptunas on March 16th.

Marjorie Byrnes – NYS Assemblywoman, 133rd Assembly District

I’ve known Carolyn Fleming for about 35 years.  Carolyn is very dedicated to everything she commits to.  Carolyn is honest, caring and devoted to our community.  I believe she would definitely be an asset to the village board.

Serving with Brian Smith on the Crossroads Council allowed me to see his character and effectiveness as a leader. Brian took responsibility for pioneering the BBQ Rib Cook-Off event — it was challenging to work out all the details and he handled them with excellence.

I know that Brian has a heart to serve our Lima community and will do a great service for every resident of Lima. He is an effective communicator and has the education and common sense that will be valuable on our Village board.

Jerry Warsaw, former deputy mayor, Village of Lima

Over the past five years I’ve had the opportunity to see John Skiptunas support and promote Lima in many different ways.  From his activities rebuilding Lima Rotary, Crossroads Fest, Senior Thanksgiving Dinner, and the Lima Christmas Tree Lighting Event, John has done an amazing job planning, organizing, and enjoying himself during all these events.

John and I worked closely on many projects including the Mark Tubbs Memorial Park Master Plan where he did a great job looking forward beyond today and planning for the long-term success of the park.  There is no one out there that cares more about Lima than John and I’d ask everyone to support him in his candidacy for Mayor!

John Correll, former mayor, Village of Lima

I have known Brian Smith for over 2 years now as we served together on the Crossroads Council.  He saw the potential for a BBQ competition as part of the Crossroads festival and along with Matt Grant organized the first one in 2019. Brian is the sort of person who can see the bigger picture and will jump right in to get things done. He will make a great Village Trustee.

Mike Falk, Crossroads Council Chairman & Lima Town Supervisor

Brian Smith is a longtime resident of Lima.  He is a friendly, smiling face to see in the community.  He joined the Lima Crossroads Council 3 years ago with a vision of incorporating a BBQ Rib Competition into our yearly festival. He has been a dedicated member of the council and is happy to volunteer and dedicate his time with various activities associated to Lima.  Brian is innovative, reliable and trustworthy.  I am confident that he would make a great village board trustee.
